The 21 Day Gratitude Journey, Day 5

NEW TO THE GRATITUDE JOURNEY?  HERE’S A QUICK OVERVIEW!

JOIN IN WHENEVER YOU’RE READY…

HERE’S THE PLAN:

I’LL SPEND THE NEXT 21 DAYS FOCUSED ON GRATITUDE. EACH DAY I WILL FOCUS ON ONE ASPECT & EACH DAY I WILL SHOW MY GRATITUDE & APPRECIATION TO SOMEONE NEW.

And what I’d love is for you to join me. Tell your friends, your family, co-workers, anyone.

I honestly feel that if we can embrace gratitude & all the goodness in the world, then we’ll be able to make amazing & far reaching positive change.

We are all capable of amazing things & it’ll take far less effort than you may think!

Gratitude is step one.

Assignment for Day 5:

1. How do you show gratitude to your own physical body?  Have you even thanked your body for what it can do for you?

Have you ever beaten down, berated or otherwise thought or spoke negatively about your own body- its shape, its size, its abilities?

Can you give yourself the time and attention that you both need and deserve to thank and truly appreciate your body? At any point during the day, speak and touch your body lovingly, thanking it for it’s strength, it’s endurance and everything that it allows you to do during the course of the day.

Give yourself some extra gratitude, love and attention if your body has been through trauma, has healed or helped you live through extenuating circumstances.

Spend a few minutes thinking & writing. Choose one place to collect your thoughts for our 21 day journey.

2. Choose your fifth person to show gratitude to. You are free to speak your gratitude, write your gratitude or show your gratitude.

Any way that feels the most appropriate, that is how you need to do it.

Be honest & open. You are doing everything right!

Please feel free to share your thoughts below. Ask for help, guidance or support.

We’re all in this together

This is a challenge for me sometimes. Even though I do so much for myself and try to keep myself as healthy as possible, it’s very easy for me to not be 100% satisfied with the look of my physical body.

So what I’ve started doing is to send love to my body. I try to appreciate it for what my body can do for me rather than beat it down for what it isn’t looking like.

I’m very grateful that my body is strong enough to do whatever it is that I ask of it. My body has not let me down and as long as I can continue to show it gratitude, then I’ll be doing my part.

It has become less and less important in the look of things but rather more so in the sense of gratitude that I give to my body.

But still, a very tricky topic. One that I need to work on daily.
