The 21 Day Gratitude Journey, Day 14

NEW TO THE GRATITUDE JOURNEY?  HERE’S A QUICK OVERVIEW!

JOIN IN WHENEVER YOU’RE READY…

HERE’S THE PLAN:

I’LL SPEND THE NEXT 21 DAYS FOCUSED ON GRATITUDE. EACH DAY I WILL FOCUS ON ONE ASPECT & EACH DAY I WILL SHOW MY GRATITUDE & APPRECIATION TO SOMEONE NEW.

And what I’d love is for you to join me. Tell your friends, your family, co-workers, anyone.

I honestly feel that if we can embrace gratitude & all the goodness in the world, then we’ll be able to make amazing & far reaching positive change.

We are all capable of amazing things & it’ll take far less effort than you may think!

Gratitude is step one.

Assignment for Day 14:

1. How do you show gratitude for your safety? Meaning your capacity to be safe in body, mind and soul?

It’s sometimes hard to realize all that we are blessed with when we don’t look to see how others might not have been so blessed.  Do you live in a place where you are free from persecution for speaking your mind or learning what you are inclined to study or can you walk down the street without fear of being attacked, verbally assaulted or worse?

If you are, then focus your energy today on being grateful for that.

If you aren’t, then focus some time today on being grateful for the safety that is coming your way, the safety that will be yours.  Your thoughts are your most powerful things and so far- you have control over whether or not someone else influences them.

Spend a few minutes thinking & writing. Choose one place to collect your thoughts for our 21 day journey.

2. Choose your fourteenth person to show gratitude to. You are free to speak your gratitude, write your gratitude or show your gratitude.

Any way that feels the most appropriate, that is how you need to do it.

Be honest & open. You are doing everything right!

Please feel free to share your thoughts below. Ask for help, guidance or support.

We’re all in this together

I am very grateful for my safety. I’m realizing more and more as I get older that not everyone I meet had been blessed with such a safe and nurturing upbringing, let alone feels safe now.

I’m also more aware of how fortunate I am for living where I do now.

Part of my gratitude is what led me to search out http://www.kiva.org and become a part of their micro-lending team. I’m not Donald Trump or anything but I really feel that every little bit helps, no matter how little : )

Gratitude and appreciation are the corner stones of humility. Being humble and grateful for the blessings one receives generates a positive energy which is projected to those who meet you.

I completely agree David! I think that’s part of the reason why I found this journey so necessary for not only myself but everyone else. I love the ripple effect or butterfly effect. Any way you call it, it’s amazing what can shift by our own gratitude and appreciation. Thanks for commenting! I really appreciate it!
